Empayar Timor's Fish Farm

Newly constructed fish farm for Empayar Timor's operation in fish breeding and hatchery. The farm has soil pond for its brood, canvases for its different sizes of catfish fries and cement tank for breeding.

Delicious Catfish cooked with Terung Dayak

Participants of our series of courses are enjoying themselves with the deliciously cooked catfish menu. The latest addition of the menu is the Catfish Cooked With Terong Dayak. Previously, the Grilled Catfish was grilled to perfection and dipped with hot chilli and black soya sauce. The dishes were simply delicious and those who like to taste it, we would be able to cater for your function(s).

The collection of exotic catfishes of Empayar Timor; the Duckbill Catfish and the Thailand Catfish, on display at Empayar Timor's fish farm in Kampung Bunuk. The catfishes were also displayed during its courses namely the Kursus Asas Penternakan Ikan Keli and Kursus Pembenihan Ikan Keli.

Catfish Rearing Course/ Kursus Asas Penternakan Ikan Keli ET1.09(1) on 8 February 2009

Catfish Rearing Course ET1.09(1) was successfully conducted on 8 February 2009 at the Dewan Masyarakat Serian with a whooping number of 50 participants coming from Sibu, Miri, Serian and Kuching. The participants were receiving knowledge on how to manage and harvest catfish.

Catfish Breeding Course ET2.09(2) on 1 March 2009

Future catfish breeder are welcomed to join Empayar Timor's catfish breeding course at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Bunuk, Jalan Puncak Borneo on 1 March 2009. Fee is as usual RM 300.00 per person which include certificate, food, notes, theory and practical session with live catfish. Hands on training will be conducted at Empayar Timor's fish farm. Please register fast to avoid disappointment.

FUTURE CATFISH BREEDING BREEDER

KUCHING: Empayar Timor of Kuching organized a one-day catfish breeding course on 1 February 2009 in Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Bunuk, Jalan Puncak Borneo. The course was attended by 34 participants who come as far as Brunei, Miri, Sibu, Betong, Bau, Serian and other parts of Sarawak, to learn the catfish breeding techniques which include selection of brood, identification of gender, preparation of the fish, the breeding procedures, hatching and fries care.

According to the spokesperson from the company, the participants had a hands on practical training using live catfish besides the theory input in the class. The “Kursus Pembenihan Ikan Keli” on that Sunday was conducted at Empayar Timor’s fish farm for the practical.

The breeding course will enable the fish rearer to equip themselves with the skills and knowledge needed to produce their own supply of fish fry.
